I drove in to town mid morning, had breakfast at this great little place with tons of comic books to read while you waited for your breakfast. [I brushed up on my X-Men comics. They're different now, and I don't quite follow what's going on.]
Anyways — pretty low key day. I wanted to the see the fancy church, a few museums were close by and sadly closed, so I just wandered the streets and found a few gems.
A gallery and photography shop in downtown Reykjavik by Ari Sigvaldason. Featuring the work of about 20 different Icelandic photographers. Great little space, tons of character, and powerful photography. Ari himself is a street photographer with a great book out, Shot in Reykjavik.
Great little record shop. They bring you coffee, invite you to sit down and listen to anything in the shop. Really knowledge music guys and super nice. The shop is really so much more than this picture below. I just grabbed a quick shot of the basement. Take my word for it.
In the church steeple
Some of these were shot through the stained glass. The orange ones [duh].
