Day 12: Ice Ice Baby
In the morning I hiked a glacier with my terrific guide, Einar, owner of LocalGuide.is. We spent around four hours hiking up one of the glacier tongues near Vatnajokull. An incredible experience, one that is like no other.
After that I spent most of the day at a glacier lagoon that I stumbled on to. This isn't Jokulsarlon. It seems a horrible storm came through last week and really screwed up Jokulsarlon to the point of being un-photogentic. This was told to me by a very nice Canadian, Randy, who I met at our shared secret spot.
More to come.
